About
Helen was born on October 12, 1921 to Dr. and Mrs. Roy Munroe of Milford, Texas. Her birth certificate was signed by her own father as he was the attending physician at her birth. She attended the University of Texas for two years before marrying the love of her life, Clinton, in 1947. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother to three children, grandmother to eight, and great grandmother to three (with another one on the way).
She loved sewing, traveling, playing Bridge at the Oak Crest Women’s Club, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who love her, but by grace through faith in Christ, is living in Heaven with her Savior.
Celebrating here life are son David and wife Billie Cooke and their children, Jennifer and Clayton Cooke; daughter Carolyn and husband Jeff Wakefield and their children Kristin married to Wil Cothran and their two children Ryan and Lauren, Kyle married to Angie and their son Brody Munroe (named after his great grandmother), and Kory; son Mike and wife Debi Cooke and their children Ashley, Alysha, and Allyson Cooke. In addition, numerous nieces nephews, and cousins also celebrate here life!
One of her favorite passages was Psalm 121:
I lift up my eyes to the hills –
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip –
He who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, He who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you –

the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forever more.
